Small Plein Air Landscapes

Maud Taber-Thomas loves painting quick plein air paintings wherever she goes. Using a portable painting kit made out of a cigar box, and painting on pieces of watercolor paper prepared with shellac,  Maud can set up almost anywhere. These artworks usually take only a few hours to complete, as Maud strives to capture the fleeting qualities of light and color.

The paintings range in size from 3 x 4 inches to 6 x 9 inches.
